We did everything in orange and blue for an Auburn theme...it was tough for me, being an Alabama fan, but anything for family. ;)
I had these little individual chalkboards that my sister found at her school that sort of looked like football fields. They were really cute for making signs to sit around!
I stole an idea I've seen on Pinterest/Etsy where you create a fill-in-the-blank form of "wishes for baby" like "I hope you always..." "I hope you love..." "I hope you get your mom's/dad's..." and I think everyone had a lot of fun filling them out - some were very goofy (my husband's especially), and all very sweet.
I had in my head that I wanted to make a little baby onesie clothesline, and it turned out really cute. I especially love the football onesie; it was a gift from my sweet friend Danielle that Ryland has already outgrown (monster huge baby) so now Isaac will get to wear it!
We went with good ol' gameday food, and this is not all of it by any means - we also had steak sliders, buffalo chicken dip and teriyaki wings!
The petit fours from Peggy Ann's were to-die-for-delicious and the little football picks topped them off adorably.
I also made some little badges for Britt and Josh to wear from sparkly orange and blue paper with the same tiger from their shower invitations. It took me about 10 minutes total and I would totally do it again instead of corsages! (And don't you want to steal Britt's necklace right off of her neck?)
Anyway, we played a couple funny games - hot potato with a baby doll for the boys (a little bottle of Maker's Mark was the prize to force them to get involved, which totally worked btw) and a "weird celebrity baby names" matching game for the girls. They got lots of fantastic gifts, from the useful essentials to adorable clothes and keepsakes. Once opened, we displayed everything and filled the top of an entire queen sized bed, a 6' table plus more stacked on the floor! They deserved every bit of it and more, and we're all so excited for the little man to make his way into this world... We're waiting, Isaac! Be good to your mommy.
