January - Our 6-month-anniversary trip to Memphis to see the Foo Fighters. We stayed in a super nice hotel courtesy of my dad and his travel reward points - we had the best time! It was absolutely freezing the whole time, but we had a blast together.
February - A visit to my sister's house. She was still pregnant with Taplin...about 7 months I think. We spent one afternoon wandering around Blakely State Park with Meghan, Justin, and Bridger. I love love love this picture of big boy Bridger walking down a bridge.
March - We played pugsitter to my parent's puppy Louie while they were away for a weekend. Nathan and Louie really bonded that weekend...they chased each other around for hours in the backyard.
April - My 23rd birthday was on the 2nd. My parents bought me a beautiful oak desk so I would have room for my new computer and double monitors! I love this shot of my dad modeling with my workstation.
Also in April, my youngest nephew Taplin was born! I wasn't there for pictures right then, but we did visit a few weeks later. He was so sweet with his dark hair and concerned face.
May - A visit to Nathan's sister's house in Smyrna/Atlanta, Georgia. Our nephew Mac was just over 5 months, and we had so much fun playing with the little guy.
June - Bridger came to spend the night with Uncle Nathan and Aunt Shannon. We all had a blast playing ball in the backyard and tickling Bridger.
July - Our first wedding anniversary! We thawed out the top layer of our cake, stuck the topper in, and ate some - it was surprisingly delicious.
August - My sister-in-law Michelle, Sean, and our nephew Mac came to stay with us. I was sick with a terrible sinus infection, so that was miserable, but I still had so much fun watching Mac crawl around and play. He loved loved loved bouncing in his play chair.
September - I got the opportunity to go to the Country Living Fair through my new job, and my mom even got to go with us. It was amazing!
October - My parents treated Nathan and me to a weekend in Nashville to go to the Nashville Flea Market. We came back with lots of treasures and saw so much neat stuff.
November - We traveled to my sister's house after Thanksgiving to see Meghan, Justin, and the boys. It was absolutely freezing - we had a fire going all day that Saturday, and Meghan and I did crafts at the dining room table. It was lots of fun cozying down together. I love this picture of Taplin and me - with him wearing his man sweater. It cracks me up how cute he looks!
December - I traveled to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville for a photoshoot with my work, and Nathan and I got a special rate to stay there one night early via Celebrity Services. We felt like royalty. Our room's view was amazing (in both of the rooms I stayed in) and we had a great time exploring. We spent our honeymoon at the Opryland Hotel that July, but it was really cool to see it all decked out for Christmastime - I had never been to see the decorations.
So - Happy New Year, everyone! Hope it is a safe and happy one, and that your 2009 tops out all expectations.
