He'd been rescued from a bad situation by the Friends of Ferals people, so he was a big scaredy cat when we adopted him. But we did what you're doing - giving him lots of lovin' - and he came out of his shell after a few months. He's the biggest lap cat now and loves being petted (and taking naps with me).
