Heather Armstrong of Dooce.com on the Today Show

I wanted to post this clip from the Today show this past week that features my favorite blogger of all time, Heather Armstrong of dooce.com. I read Heather's blog every day and she is a huge source of inspiration both to me and to thousands upon thousands (millons?) of other bloggers/readers.

The segment at the beginning of this clip gives a good overview of the "mommy blogging" phenomenon. I don't love that she gets cut off at the end of the interview without getting to speak up for herself one last time, but - nonetheless, I love seeing her speak about her livelihood "in the flesh." I think it's so amazing that she has made a life and a living and identity for herself out of blogging. I know I have some friends and family that are "mommy bloggers" too (like the subject of this segment) and I think y'all will like this a lot, if you haven't already seen it. She posted about the experience on her blog today with the promise of more to come, and I can't wait to hear what she and others have to say about it.

  1. I've read her website a few times, and I think Heather Armstrong is incredibly talented!

This video makes me fear that us Mommy Bloggers are gaining a stigma similar to "soccer moms." However, my greatest fear is definitely the privacy issues.
